As a Regional Accountant at The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, I oversee the financial operations and reporting of several projects and programs that support the health and well-being of military personnel and their families. I work within a team of accountants and auditors to ensure compliance, accuracy, and transparency of the financial statements and transactions, and to provide timely and relevant information to the management and the stakeholders. I have a strong background in finance and accounting, with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Nairobi and an Accounting Certification from the Royal Business School. I am also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a participant of the McKinsey Forward Program, which provides me with the opportunity to learn and apply the latest tools and techniques in finance and accounting. I have developed and honed my interpersonal, communication, and Microsoft Office skills through my previous experiences as a Finance and Accounting Assistant at Solar Panda and an Associate at Grant Thornton Kenya, where I was involved in various financial and accounting tasks, such as preparing and reconciling accounts, processing invoices and payments, conducting audits and reviews, and assisting in financial planning and analysis. I am passionate about advancing my career as a finance and accounting professional in different fields. I am eager to take on new challenges and responsibilities, and to leverage my skills and expertise to support the financial and operational excellence of an organization. I am also motivated to learn from and collaborate with a talented and diverse team and to continuously improve my knowledge and skills.
