As a recent graduate of University of South Carolina Aiken with a BA in English, I have developed strong skills and knowledge in literary and news writing, editing, and research. I have also pursued my passion for coaching gymnastics, leading a team of USAG compulsory gymnasts to national standards and rankings.I have demonstrated my leadership and communication abilities as the Editor in Chief of the university's newspaper, Pacer Times, where I managed a 9-person editorial and reporting team, oversaw the production of various articles, and won a state award for news writing. I have also contributed to the Oswald Review, a peer-reviewed journal of undergraduate research in English, as a co-literary editor alongside faculty. My senior thesis was a 20-page argument for the inclusion of a modern work in the literary canon of the story cycle genre. My goal is to continue advancing my writing and editing career, and to pursue a graduate degree in creative writing or rhetorics.I am currently published in poetry (Undefined, Schrödinger’s Box as a Home, The Persistence of Idolatry 2021 edition, Perennial Guilt, and To Love to Me) in USC Aiken’s literary magazine Broken Ink (2020-2022) and in an independent magazine based in New York, Beloved Zine, with two published pieces (The Persistence of Idolatry 2022 edition, and Under a Femme-Moon, A Fierce Other).
