I am a postdoctoral researcher in the field of wildlife ecology and epidemiology. My research interests include modeling and management of wildlife populations and infectious diseases. My research focus for the last 8 years has been on chronic wasting disease in free-ranging white-tailed deer, although my interests are much broader. My dissertation focused on assessing fine-scale, integrated management approaches for chronic wasting disease through the development of an agent-based model. My career goal is to work for a federal or state agency or academia in a research position that allows me to build stronger bridges among wildlife health, wildlife and disease management, and policy.
