As a teacher in the Film and Theater department at UCLA, I was responsible for educating undergraduate students interested in developing the craft of acting. I created a syllabus that was conducive to teaching acting online and in-person and maintained a compelling environment where my students were excited to engage. During the pandemic, I facilitated online acting exercises where students were still able to build ensembles. Drawing upon themes in Romeo and Juliet, my students devised projects that reflected their unique perspective, imagination and understanding of the craft of acting.
