Building out an intersectional Racial Equity Impact Practice with a small team to eliminate equity gaps and center marginalized perspectives in social impact globally. Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for the Practice, Purpose at large, and external clients that align with long-term visions, impact goals, and financial objectives. Co-designed, established, and evaluated a national program with and for 50+ groups of young people with lived experience of homelessness that centered racial and LGBTQ equity, engaging workgroups in Advocacy, Art Activism, and Research Justice. Supported and built the leadership of young people as co-facilitators and co-leads to transform the youth homelessness movement and center youth voices. Provided technical assistance to communities across the country on Equity, Youth Collaboration, and how to integrate youth with lived experience into program planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Collaborated with Principal Investigators to design, conduct, and evaluate primary research on various projects including: 1) the health and well-being of frontline trauma and gender-based violence workers in NYC's Family Justice Centers, and how their organization can better support and protect against health effects related to their profession2) defining, creating a scale to measure, and exploring perceptions of sexual agency within youth populations3) medical care needs of trafficking survivors in a specialized primary care clinic in NYC 4) bisexuality in youth populations

Completed two primary projects:1) Created a three-part series webinar for medical providers in NYC on labor and sex trafficking, trauma informed care, centering survivors and advocacy2) Co-created and delivered Birth Justice curriculum for health care providers in NYC hospitals around racial disparities in Severe Maternal Mortality rates, implicit bias, and the history of reproductive oppression in medicine

As the inaugural fellow, I created a framework of how to operationalize Reproductive Justice and conducted 42 interviews with staff throughout the organization to evaluate how the organization is practicing RJ principles internally with recommendations for how to improve.

Led the training program providing audience-specific Technical Assistance and trainings externally, for professionals and communities, and internally for staff throughout Safe Horizon's 60+ programs. Developed bilingual (Spanish/English) curriculum, program materials, and evaluations.Trained over 3,000 professionals (MDs, health clinics, social workers, law enforcement, government, CBOs), community members, and survivors of human trafficking on identification, root causes, and intervention.Identified and targeted medical providers as an underutilized site for intervention and trained providers in trainings for up to 1,000 people on provider specific interventions.Co-chaired the Brooklyn Human Trafficking Task Force Labor Subcommittee.Led a monthly survivor empowerment group and planned annual retreats incorporating healing justice and activism.Developed and implemented a bilingual Train-the-Trainer program to partner with survivors around curriculum-building and facilitation in communities.

Built and developed the agency's first direct services program including creation of protocols, outreach materials, and strategic offerings. Provided bilingual emotional counseling and criminal justice advocacy; initiated and coordinated a monthly healing group for survivors; and represented the agency in nationwide, statewide, and citywide coalitions. In prevention, I developed anti-oppression curriculum, led youth recruitment and facilitated focus groups in several monthly workshops that informed the resulting 5 community-specific youth-led violence prevention campaigns. Managed all social media communications with youth to maintain engagement.

Oakland, California

Partnered with women and trans people in prison, their families, and our legal team to ensure basic human rights and vigilantly document any human rights violations. Aided in exposing to the media systemic violations against women giving birth for immediate change in policy and implementation.

San Francisco Bay Area

Led two-day anti-oppression workshops for youth in middle and high schools in San Francisco. By engaging participants in how to recognize racism, sexism, transphobia and homophobia in our culture and interpersonal relationships, we provided tools for critical thinking, deconstruction of harmful interpersonal behaviors, and promoted healthy relationships for all.
