About Noelle Kaplan, Msed, Ryt

As Director of Education, Training and Outreach for The Art of Yoga Project, I create spaces for our staff, partner organizations and community members to learn and nurture their skillsets in leading trauma-informed mindfulness for marginalized and system-involved youth. My passion is to create opportunities for healing, sovereignty and self-empowerment for all young people within the context of mindfulness classes and specifically to create spaces for all of us to access our JOY. I earned my BA from University of California Berkeley in Anthropology and an MSEd from University of Pennsylvania School of Education in Learning Sciences and Technology (LST), with a focus on social and racial justice leading ethnographic and qualitative research projects, focusing on teacher professional development.I launched the blog www.queertribe.com to create community for queer parents and bring light to the unique experiences of LGBTQ parents. I am a certified yoga instructor and leads yoga and meditation classes for folx in her community to promote healing and wellbeing.
