I am an attorney and shareholder with Arthur Chapman.  Clients seek my counsel and defense on an array of workplace issues: work injuries, safety, harassment, discrimination, employee leaves, accommodation, return-to-work, discipline, and termination.Most people spend one-third of their lives at work.  This time is substantial and generates greater opportunities for risk. I help employers and insurers manage and minimize this risk, and I am ready to defend them in the face of a claim or lawsuit.I dedicate part of my practice to representing railroad companies, a workplace where the risks are high and safety is imperative. I enjoy working in this niche industry and tackling the challenging legal issues that come with it.In my 16 years practicing law, I have taken on many leadership roles. I currently serve as co-chair of my firm's employment law practice group. I am an active member of my firm's COVID-19 Task Force. In the past, I have chaired the workers' compensation and commercial transportation practice groups. No matter the role, I am invested in supporting and leading my colleagues and the firm on a path to success.Outside of my law practice, I serve as a patient advocate for a rare and disabling headache condition, spontaneous cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) leaks.  A CSF leak is caused by a small hole or tear in the dura mater, the tough connective tissue that surrounds and protects the spinal cord.  Dura mater means "tough mother" in Latin.  It epitomizes my personal and professional approach.  For more information on CSF leaks, please see the links to the featured sites below.
