I am a passionate UX Designer who wants to help companies build great apps from both aesthetic and functional perspectives.My top three criteria when designing an application are to ensure consistency, error prevention/recovery, and minimalism (less is more).I've worked on successful projects for many large brands and also many startups. Brands that I've worked with include: Nissan, Red Bull, Murad, Behr, Sports Illustrated, Fox Sports, Mattel, USC, Microsoft, Kaiser Permanente, and most recently Rakuten. I also help startups by by identify critical user workflow and interaction patterns to help retain first time users, create growth and foster long term adoption of their app.I was part of the early growth team in the early 2000's for a youth sports registration network that started with 3 employees (me as one of the founders), that eventually grew to 60 employees with tens of millions of dollars in processed transactions. The product was acquired in 2009 by Active Network, eventually becoming a publicly traded company (now private again) and ESPN as equity owner.My speciality is designing proof of concepts or functional prototypes. This approach have helped two startup clients be accepted into accelerators and incubators at USC and UCLA respectively. I am a self-starter so I accomplish a lot with minimal directions. I am a strong proponent of mobile first on 99% of all my projects to include intuitive smart phone layouts and touch gestures.I've worked with building communities with three of the major WordPress community platforms: BuddyPress, 02/P2 Plugin/theme, and more recently Peepso.
