As team lead, I manage and conduct externally and internally funded R&D and product development. We are continuously building, integrating and deploying our photonic chips into optical systems at the performance standards required in quantum applications.

Built a photonics laboratory and R&D organization, from IP development to equipment procurement and large-scale computational electromagnetics deployed on the cloud. My work focused on the intersection of quantum computing and integrated photonics, and I was responsible for architecting the device and system, as well as designing and experimentally validating chips for high-fidelity quantum computing with atoms. My experience covers the entire development process, including inversely designed photonic components, wafer tapeouts, bring-up and automation of several generations of custom-built photonics test benches, tight feedback loop between experiment and design, high-quality free-space optical engineering, and feedback systems and protocols for optical quantum gates on atoms.
