The purpose of the internship was to analyze, implement and compare two strategies for energy trading in energy communities, i.e. aggregates of entities that exchange electricity within the community itself and with the grid.The first strategy analyzed, called CMB (Community-Manager Based), is based on the figure of a community manager, who acts as an intermediary for all energy exchanges within the community. In the second strategy, called P2P (Peer-to-Peer), the entities exchange energy between them bilaterally.The models were implemented in Python.During the implementation phase, algorithms for the efficient solution of convex programming problems were also studied, for example, the ADMM method (Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers). The final choice, however, was to adopt centralized optimization strategies.The results obtained by simulating the two trading strategies over a one-year time horizon, highlighted the economic benefits that entities can derive from aggregating into an energy community, rather than interacting exclusively with the network. These economic benefits are added to the social benefits of the aggregation, in addition to the environmental ones, due to the boost that these aggregations give to the generation of energy from renewable sources.

Syngrasp is a toolbox of the MATLAB calculation program that implements functions for the grasp analysis of human and robotic hands. The purpose of the internship was to update the toolbox functions, the robotic hand models, the evaluation tools and related documentation.
