My name is Noemi Serrano Smethurst. I was born and raised in Hamburg but I have Brazilian roots. From a very young age, music and art in general have been the most influential and over time, the most important parts of my life. From making music as a soloist, participating in various orchestras and choirs to performing with ensembles such as the NDR Big Band, I have always been active on stage. Since my A-levels, however, I have been increasingly drawn backstage and the music industry has fascinated me more and more. This development was decisive for my choice of studies. From 2017 to 2021, I studied media management with a focus on music management at the Macromedia University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. I am a very active and determined person. Through my many different interests, I have become resilient and independent over time. In addition, I am always committed and always give 100 percent - according to the motto "all or nothing". These strengths have already been put to the test several times during my studies and work experiences. For example, I took over the project management of a successful (and sold-out!) benefit concert as part of a university project. During a 6-month internship as well as a working student and freelancer, I was able to gain experience in the media and music industry alongside my studies. I worked in account and content management and PR at a creative agency for social media driven brand communication, as well as in product management at New Work SE (XING SE) and most recently at Sony Music Entertainment Germany in the Ariola/RCA label as a marketing and coordination intern. I would describe myself as dedicated, independent and self-confident, as well as team-oriented and creative. New challenges and exciting projects motivate me to excel. Having recently graduated from university, my next step is to deepen my professional experience and gain a foothold in the entertainment industry. I am particularly interested to work with interesting people in either the music or film/TV industry.
