Backend Software Engineer (Nodejs)
CurrentI am currently working as a software engineer on the Shell B2C project. I am part of the backend team providing mobile apps for more than 38 countries around the world, unifying vendor APIs ( Payments, Loyalty, Mulesoft, SSO...) and making the app more stable. I am also involved in the development of a fast-growing CMS platform that provides on-demand data and also handles all app configuration. Work under Scrum methodology.The stack is based on Node.js, Azure Function Apps, microservices/hexagonal architectures and uses both SQL and NoSQL data stores.As a software engineer, my responsibilities include coding, developing and designing new features, helping other members understand the project and answering questions about the services. I create integration and unit tests, work on improving our metrics, create technical and functional documentation and I am also involved in deciding on architectures. I do a lot of research, bug fixing, and perform code reviews and refinements. I also attend client meetings and lead our internal meetings when needed. I also work with the CI pipelines and I am implicated in deploying our code on the different environments.Stack: Node.js, Azure, Redis, Jest, Fastify, Swagger, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Application Insights.
