As web writer/editor, the tasks I did were:• developed the content of the WHO Philippine website, through editing and enhancing the existing WHO articles, documents and photographs as well as writing concise news and feature articles• located existing publications, documents, press releases and audio/video materials to be featured in the website, by coordinating with country office project coordinators• harmonized, uploaded edited materials in the website, using WebIT system and cross link with HQ and regional websites as well as other relevant sites• developed a mechanism to monitor the number of readers visiting the website, as a whole and specific sites within, on a daily basis, in consultation with the IT group of the WHO Western Pacific Regional Office• conducted an online survey, after the website was launched, on how the visitors find the website, in terms of presentation and content. The website, http://www.wpro.who.int/philippines/en, was launched seven (7) days earlier than the target date.

For almost 17 years, the work entails writing, editing and processing technology and trade information from Asia, Africa and Latin America in the fields of food processing, fishery, agro-industries, business opportunities, packaging, textiles, biotechnology, chemicals and energy. In the first five years, we utilized a dedicated line to release the information in bulletin format to our counterpart editors in Latin America. When the Internet came into the scene, the Centre went online, and I edit on the website directly. I have written/translated more than 15,000 one-page technical/trade abstracts on various sectors, both in English and Spanish . As part of the team of the WINNER Project, funded by UNIFEM, served as resource person, training management or facilitator in trainings and other activities conducted for women entrepreneurs held in various locations in the country for more than two years. I wrote an article for the Global Business Magazine entitled "Interlinking TIPS, WINNER with the Information Highway, September - October 2000 Issue. Presently, my work involves follow-up research on the more than 1000 women entrepreneurs who participated in the WINNER Project training program.

As a consultant, I assisted in the preparation of the 'Central Asia Atlas of Natural Resources'. My work involved the following tasks: - counterchecked basic information, statistics, graphs, RSIs and tables related to environment an natural resources in the revised draft Atlas; - conducted additional research on required information and photos; - coordinated the collection and purchase of photographs that were used in the Atlas; and obtained permissions from the photographers on their usage; - assisted the editor and the publication designer in preparing and finalizing the Atlas; - reviewed the draft copies of the Atlas and ensured the camera-ready copy has been thoroughly reviewed and proofread; - assisted the ADB staff concerned in other work related to the production of the Atlas; and - drafted replies to queries made by the countries on certain information (visit http://beta.adb.org/publications/central-asia-atlas-natural-resources)

My work at the university started in the University Extension Center, and later at the Office of the Director of Extension. I had the following duties and responsibilities: a) planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating training programs; b) managing extension databases, from data collection, verification, inputting and updating; c) monitoring various extension activities which included trainings, action-research projects, publications and related extension materials; d) assisted the Director in coordinating the Mt. Pinatubo Rehabilitation Project; e) preparing extension communication support materials such as training materials, directories, manuals and press releases; f) planning and manning exhibits; and g) performing other duties when assigned by the Director. Right after graduation, I worked in a nutrition project for a month. My task was weighing the food taken daily by the children, the subjects of the study.
