For my undergraduate graduation project, I used structure-based drug design to design new compounds and synthesized drug-like molecules as inhibitors of the Mammalian Target of Rapamycin (mTOR) for the treatment of certain types of cancer and Autism Spectrum Syndrome (ASD). I co-authored a review article on the structure and function of Ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase L3 due to its significance in medicinal chemistry as a promising drug target. I worked in a Molecular Biology and Virology Lab as a junior research assistant where I elucidated the effect of Autographa californica Multiple Nucleopolyhedrovirus orf141 on cell lines (HeLa/Sf9) using the MTT assay. I had the privilege to pass my knowledge of experimental techniques in microbiology as a junior teaching assistant.
