Nohelia Ramos has extensive experience delivering evidence-based community development solutions while advancing policy for equity. Nohelia serves in a dual role as the Civic Engagement Consultant with the Global ARC, a San Diego based consulting firm, and as Research and Data Collection Coordinator of the Project Safe Neighborhoods Initiative. In this capacity, Nohelia provides capacity-building trainings for organizations like PathPoint’s Southern California Division, Partnership for the Advancement of New Americans, and Center for Community Health. Previously, as Lead Organizer and Evaluation Specialist of the Building Healthy Communities Initiative with Mid-City CAN and SAY San Diego, Nohelia managed the community organizing team that implemented social equity and community development projects in the community of City Heights. Nohelia also worked at Environmental Health Coalition for over four years as a Community and Youth Organizer, supporting community efforts to fight for environmental justice. Nohelia trained at the Gamaliel Network and the Center on Third World Organizing. Nohelia studied Urban Studies and Planning at UC San Diego and received a Master’s in Education from University of Southern California.
