I drove a large, innovative portfolio of programmatic investments and had the opportunity to partner with and lead various stakeholders internally & externally to authenticate the NIKE Brand. I did this through delivering transformational experiences for children, the community, NIKE consumer and employee. Internally this cut across business functions: Running, Football, Retail, HR & PR and externally across business sectors: Development Agencies, Government Departments, Academic Institutions, For Profit & Not For Profit Organizations. My responsibilities included stakeholder mapping, prioritization, strategy development, program research, program implementation, employee engagement and storytelling. Responsible for driving Nike's strategy to address physical inactivity in children where through a partnership with the University of Johannesburg, we developed the Butterflies Physical Activity program to revive Physical Education in schools. Program piloted in primary schools of Alexandra township in partnership with the Gauteng Provincial Department of Education during 2013 & 2014 and replicated in Soweto township thereafter.Managed the Nike strategic alliance with the German International Coorperation (GIZ). This alliance funded and supported the Nike initiated Sport for Social Change Network (SSCN) of 70 Not For Profits in executing its programs. Oversaw the strategy development and supported the day-to-day operations of the SSCN before it became independent and registered as a Non Profit Company in March 2012.
