Reconstruction of the Emergency Spillway involved the construction of a 1,450 long secant pile wall to key-in 530,000 CY of RCC for the expanded Emergency Spillway buttress and splash pad.Responsibilities• Led a group of three RCC Field Engineers in workplan development and quantity & cost controls for placement of 880,000 CY of Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC), budgeted at $176 Million • Developed and executed a work plan for the placement of 6,500 CY of Self-Consolidating Concrete (SCC)• Corresponded with DWR design consultants to develop RCC project specifications and scope• Prepared monthly cost projections of the RCC Group to communicate with onsite/offsite management• Composed submittals and RFI documents for the RCC Group in relation to project specifications
