During my stay at Synetics, I brought safety training into full compliance company-wide. Cross-Functional team leader, defining and implementing best practices in HR and Training departments. Developed and standardized training programs for safety, hazardous materials job skills, and other manufacturing topics. In 2005, I was awarded a $100,000 grant by the State of Oregon to bring ESL and high school GED programs to the worksite, thereby increasing the employability of 40-50 immigrant workers employed at the company.

General Manager of business operations, engaged as a temporary assignment. When I started, Rumblefish was not paying wages and was six months behind on all bills. My organizational changes increased the sales-per-employee ratio by 7X in four months. At my departure, Rumblefish was operating in the black, meeting payroll and servicing multiple national-sized contracts.Designed and deployed an IP license accounting system using standard low-cost accounting software, saving Rumblefish approximately $100,000 in custom database development costs.

Managed and oversaw operations for all internal and external training for Tektronix's Telecommunications Protocol Analyzer products. Though these products represented less than 10% of the Tektronix product portfolio, after 18 months, training for Telecomm analyzers represented 50% of the revenue generated by customer training programs company-wide.

Technical trainer for Series 9000 laser systems used in the manufacture of RAM memory chips. Oversaw operations for Customer Technical Training worldwide. Developed ESI Field Service Engineer new-hire training and ongoing certification programs from the ground up. Defined policies and procedures to turn Customer Training into a Profit center. During my tenure, training classes and revenues tripled. Supervised the build-out of a new, expanded Customer Training Facility at the Beaverton, Oregon headquarters.Regular contributor to marketing planning processes, using on-site information from training classes to refine sales forecasts. Member of Corporate Change Control Board. Reviewed, approved and provided support/rollout plans for product changes across all of ESI's laser-based capital equipment.
