Returned to Trayvax under new ownership and management.

Starting as the company’s first professional level employee, I built out the brand with 15+ new products from concept to production. These completed products sold 300k+ units, building a dedicated customer base with unique designs that combine clever functionality with refined aesthetics, made with quality materials in the USA. In addition to product design, I have been a main contributor to brand identity in the form of product/lifestyle photography, graphics, packaging and brand voice.

Under CSS Hardware I reverse engineer and remanufacture rare components for mid-century modern furniture, allowing customers to repair their classic pieces for continued enjoyment.

Teaching an Industrial Design foundation class focusing on development of accurate perspective, design sketching, and concept refinement.

FreeRangePDX was a satellite department of The Leatherman Tool Group tasked with discovering and conceptualizing novel and innovative ideas for the company and its sub-brands. In this short period I developed several concepts selected for further development, as well as initiated a collaborative work environment for the previously siloed group of contract designers and engineers. This improved the quality of product presentations and increased the number of successful pitches.

Inherited responsibilities of head designer for a period of 5 months. Created and refined 30+ knife, tool, and light designs for Hunting, Military and Bear Grylls categories.
