Experienced and board-certified Gastroenterologist with a track record of providing the safest and highest quality care to patients in a friendly manner. Our group is comprised of 11 outstanding providers with offices and surgery centers in Brownsville & Harlingen, Texas. We are in-network with all insurances and our office has a culture of continuous improvement and excellent customer service. We help our patients get healthy and stay healthy, and we prevent cancer.I'm a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy where I served as a Medical Corps Officer, and I am former clinical associate professor at the UTRGV School of Medicine.Aside from my dedication to helping patients, I have a passion for education, mentoring and community service.I was appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to the University of Texas System Board of Regents in March 2019. Prior to that, I served as a Regent for Texas Woman’s University from June 2015 to April 2019, including the last 2 years as Board Chair.I have been serving as a Trustee for Harlingen CISD since July 2010, and we were named the TASA/TASB school board of the year in 2019-2020. I also serve on other boards including the Holdsworth Center Governing Board, Lone Star National Bank Board of Directors, and member of the Philosophical Society of Texas.
