I planned and taught a curriculum that was geared towards students K-12 and adhered to Massachusetts’ Common Core Standards. I taught English as a Second Language to Korean students (ages 3 to 15) 50 hours a week. Additionally, I managed an office of six native-speaking teachers and organized extracurricular activities at our academy. Teaching English in South Korea gave me new perspective on language and how to be actively involved teaching it. Living abroad and being immersed in an entirely different culture was genuinely a life-changing experience.

Appalachian Mountain Range

I successfully completed a Northbound thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. Altogether, I backpacked 2,189 miles from Mt. Springer, Georgia to Mt. Katahdin, Maine. The trail wound its way through dense forests, over rugged mountains, and through State and National Park Land (Great Smoky Mountains, Shenandoah, The 100-Mile Wilderness).
