As an Equity and Governance Consultant, my work is dedicated to advancing systemic change and promoting inclusive, equitable practices across sectors. With over a decade of experience, I focus on broadening participation in governance and amplifying voices with lived expertise, ensuring that underrepresented perspectives inform impactful decision-making.In my role as Program Manager at Action for Race Equality, my work focuses on capacity building for grassroots organisations led by and for Black, Asian, and mixed heritage communities. Through my consultancy, I advise organisations on topics such as intersectional feminism, critical race theory, and decolonised methodologies, helping them shape governance frameworks that are rooted in equity and inclusion.In addition to consultancy, I work as a freelance researcher, providing insights on social justice issues that affect the Black British Diaspora. I also produce and present Beyond The Lens, a podcast exploring sociopolitical issues within Black communities in Britain, bringing attention to topics often neglected by mainstream media.I am currently a trustee at Clean Break Theatre and as an advisory member of the Central and West Croydon Partnership, reinforcing my commitment to equity, social justice, and inclusive governance.For enquiries, please contact me at: nsterling@arts.ac.uk
