Having immigrated to the UK in 2022 with the right to work I was open to any new opportunities. Instead of looking along the same path of my career in South Africa I looked for a fresh new start and found it at Wilkin and Son where the opportunities are endless. I started as a machine operator and have continuously put my hand up to learn and develop myself to the point I am now doing something completely new and out of my comfort zone - Quality control on the Honey line! I conduct tests to maintain our very high standards with our honey as well as learning processes and planning. Every day is a school day which keeps me interested and enthusiastic. I also put my hand up to do the events and shows with the marketing team which has given me more insight on our products and customers. Adding to this, I learnt to do the farm tours going back to my PRO days at the brewery where I showed people how beer is made.....now I show visitors how our various fruits are grown on our self sufficient farms in Tiptree. I would have to say I am no wallflower and love people. I am passionate, driven and enthusiastic to learn new skills and product knowledge. I believe communication and service is the strongest key to success and will see a problem through until it is completely resolved. I previously worked independently and remotely for 16 years in South Africa so I am very disciplined and trustworthy.Previous position with TIC in South Africa gave me extensive knowledge of the Short-Term Insurance Industry - Specialist Travel, a thorough understanding of the short-term insurance industry and products, a thorough understanding of business principles, interpersonal Skills, the ability to handle conflict, negotiation skills, problem solving skills, risk assessment and analysis, Insurance Principles and practice, customer and personal service, clerical and administrative procedures. I also have extensive experience in the MICE industry having arranged and co-ordinated several Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events within both the Travel industry as well as the Insurance industry. I am professional at all times with prospects, clients and other stakeholders. I have excellent presentation skills - both 1:1 and to groups.
