As a Sustainability Specialist at Growthpoint Properties, I am responsible for implementing and monitoring the sustainability strategy for the business across all sectors. I have over 6 years of experience in providing sustainability solutions within the corporate real estate industry, working with sustainability consulting firms, project managers, and university students. I hold a Bachelor's and an Honours degree in Urban and Regional Planning from University of the Witwatersrand, and a Property Development and Investment Programme from University of Cape Town. I am also a certified Green Star AP - Sustainable Precincts, New Buildings, Net Zero and Existing building by the Green Building Council South Africa. My core competencies include, Sustainable Development Strategy, Carbon Reduction Commitment, Carbon Reduction Strategies, Green Building certifications and Greenovate Awards Program management. I am passionate about sustainability and how it affects cross-functional teams, and I am adaptable to various fields with a proven track record of taking on new concepts and adding to my skillsets. I am looking to apply my critical thinking and strategic thinking in the implementation of impact-driven ESG strategies across the broader multi-faceted corporate sector.
