Nompilo Mazibuko holds an MSc in Plant Science with a specialization in Ecology from the University of Pretoria. Her research centred on quantifying and modelling shifts in plant dispersal patterns caused by environmental factors, particularly climate change. Since joining her current role at an environmental and resource economics firm in March 2023, Nompilo has contributed to a range of projects, deepening her expertise in ESG support, and the creation of a costing mechanism for rehabilitating Ecological Infrastructure (EI) and monitoring compliance with environmental regulations. She has also been involved in water resource management projects, the development of global environmental legal registers, and social studies focused on gender equity in male-dominated sectors.
