• Led, developed and implemented the re-engagement strategy for the Alberta Caring Diabetes Cohort (ABCD), a cohort of 2040 people living with type 2 diabetes. • Managed the migration of paper to digital survey for data collection for 2 waves of the ABCD cohort cycle • Collaborated with government, academia and private sector stake holders to plan and initiate the Diabetes Infrastructure for Surveillance Evaluation and Research (DISER)• Co-ordinated the linking of the ABCD survey data to administrative healthcare databases as a key component of the Diabetes Infrastructure for Surveillance Evaluation and Research (DISER) program of Alberta Health Services.• Drafted and submitted for publication as first author, the first manuscript for the DISER project, with colleagues in academic and Alberta Health Services • Supervised graduate students

• Led the implementation of the Healthy Eating and Active Living after Gestational Diabetes Program (HEALD-GDM), a pragmatic control trial testing the effectiveness of a lifestyle intervention to reduce the risk for type 2 diabetes among women who previously had Gestational Diabetes Mellitus• Led relationship management with academic partners, local council and Diabetes in Pregnancy Clinics at two sites.• Managed the full cycle recruitment of two administrative staff, one social media manager and four volunteer peer support workers• Developed the knowledge translation strategy, which included utilising social media to recruit and keep participants and other stakeholders engaged with the HEALD-GDM program • Managed the HEALD-GDM budget • Drafted and published manuscripts from the findings of HEALD-GDM• Mentored undergraduate students completing elective research modules in nutrition epidemiology related topics

Post-doctoral research fellow in the Alliance for Canadian Health Outcomes Research in Diabetes (ACHORD) at the University of Alberta. This training focussed on epidemiological methods for assessing the role of diet and physical activity as mediators of the relationship between diabetes and development of complications in people living with type 2 diabetes. Functioned as a junior investigator gaining experience in complex statistical analysis techniques and experience with clinical trials in Primary Health Care settings in Canada

Post-Doctoral Research Fellow, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. Fieldwork intensive global health post-doctoral training which included travel to field sites in Arctic Canada, South Africa, Kenya and inner city Edmonton. Experience in dietary assessment methods, knowledge translation and most importantly working with different stakeholders including government, NGO, and community representatives for project development, implementation and evaluation.
