With over a decade of experience in global health, I specialize in building health systems resilience and strengthening emergency preparedness and response capacities. As a public health expert, I bring a unique blend of medical and business knowledge to my work.Currently, I am on a WHO technical working group collaborating with the World Bank on the global architecture for emergency preparedness and response (HEPPR) funded through the world bank pandemic fund and I provide technical support to over 30 countries in the African region in developing strategies for prevention, timely detection, and effective response to public health emergencies.I contributed to the development of the current WHO AFRO regional strategy for health security and I have played key roles in the coordination of the response to six major graded public health events (Ebola, Cholera, Marburg, SVD and Dengue fever) affecting multiple countries in the past 5 years. Additionally, I led the Health Operations and Technical Expertise Pillar for the WHO African region's COVID-19 Incident Management System where I provided technical support to over 37 member states to adequately scale their response mechanisms to address the 3rd and 4th waves of the COVID-19 pandemic.With my extensive experience in health systems resilience building, Health security and IHR, emergency response operations and my skills in advocacy and social mobilization, data analysis, monitoring, and evaluation, I am confident in my ability to help organizations develop and implement effective global health security strategies, and build resilient health systems.
