 Frontend/backend testing on trading platform websites, progressive web app on browsers and native apps on mobiles (Android and iOS) OS.  Working closely with stakeholders, product owners, technical leads, and developers to understand system and business process requirements. Working as part of scrum team participating in daily stand ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, sprint retrospective, product and spring backlog grooming.  Working closely with QA lead to prepare and deploy test plans, entry and exit criteria, and test metrics. Planning, preparing, reviewing and updating detailed test plans, user stories, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, test cases and test scripts. Carrying out all levels of testing including functional, smoke, sanity, regression, system, integration, UAT, BAT, database integrity testing. Converting test cases to BDD format and Gherkin language in preparation for automation. Utilising CI/CD pipeline to test on feature branch, merge code changes, deploy/promote to higher test environments and release to production using Bamboo. Creating and updating requirements traceability matrix, test coverage and test metrics. Logging defects/bugs found during in-sprint and exploratory testing and retesting fixes. Fault finding and investigating issues using Splunk and Linux commands to search/edit system log files. Participating in defect triage to allocate defect severity to logged production bugs. API testing (manual and automated).

 Responsible for Graphical User Interface (GUI), User Experience (UX) and functional testing using black box testing techniques across different web browser platforms  Working closely with QA manager to prepare and deploy test strategies. Testing at all levels including functional, smoke, sanity, regression, system, integration, user acceptance, compatibility, and database testing. Preparing and reviewing detailed test plans, test cases and test scripts in Quality Center (QC).  Ensuring requirements coverage and test coverage in QC. Creating Requirements Traceability Matrix to ensure comprehensive test coverage of requirements.  Recording and tracking defects discovered through the testing process using QC. Analysing LoadRunner reports and graphs including hits/second, throughput, average response times and worked closely with development team to resolve issues and improve applications performance. Extracting and validating data using SQL queries against an SQL database and performing the backend testing according to user stories.

This role was introduced to improve and automate the current procurement process and systems, implement new e-procurement systems, and improve user experience of procurement system across the University affecting front end users (requisitioners and authorisers), back-end users (Finance department) and external suppliers.Responsibilities: Working closely with Head of Procurement and stakeholders to understand business and user requirements for improving and automating procurement processes within the University. Exploring, reviewing and introducing new web-based solutions to improve procurement processes between the University and its suppliers.  Carrying out a complete SWOT analysis, review of procurement processes, mapping existing processes, identifying bottleneck areas, proposing areas that will benefit from automated processes. Creating wireframes to capture the flow of interfaces for each user type and for the different modules within the procurement system and documenting the agreed solutions using UML Creating user stories to define user requirements for each user type within different modules in the procurement system.  Coordinating meetings with the development teams to ensure appropriate handling of the bugs and their timely resolution. Creating user guides and training documents and videos using MS Office suite and Adobe Captivate and ensuring these are accessible online. Performing front end and back end testing and system integration testing in UAT environment.
