While working for CLAWW I created a donation campaign during GivingTuesday, wrote and managed email blasts, and created flyers for their healing circles where Black/African Women in Milwaukee could talk about the traumas and tribulations they face. Additionally, I was in charge of managing their social media platforms: Linkedin, Facebook, and Instagram where I would make posts and keep the community updated on the organization.

As an intern at United Community Center (UCC), I was responsible for data entry on intake and discharge summaries, biopsychosocial, medical histories, and DAP notes using the platforms ProviderConnect and Epitomax. Additionally, I co-facilitated and observed relapse prevention groups: day treatment, outpatient, residential, and intensive relapse residential. I also was given the amazing opportunity to facilitate the art therapy sessions with the men and women residential groups every Wednesday. This gave me the responsibility of planning an activity that allowed the clients to discover new coping and grouping skills in order to support them in their recovery along with facilitating the session.

As a visitation supervisor, I managed and conducted the children's transportation for supervised visitation with their parents, siblings, or other family members. I supervised and facilitated court-ordered parenting time while protecting the integrity of the visitation by providing a positive atmosphere for parents and children to connect and interact in a safe, structured environment. I was responsible for de-escalating and redirecting unsafe/harmful circumstances that occur during supervised visitations. Additionally, I recorded accurate and objective observations during visitations using an approved Ohana Family Service template to be reviewed during court hearings.

I wrote and illustrated a published children’s book that taught, demonstrated, and strengthened appropriate skills in support of the anti-bullying campaign. Additionally, I planned, developed, and executed a file management system that was utilized by the entire company staff.
