I’m a fashion and textiles student looking to redirect my career into the fashion industry.My love for crafting with my hands was born from a desire to reconnect with my ancestral homeland of Syria and its rich history in textile craftsmanship. My years of experience in the advertising and design industries, both inhouse and freelance, have developed my skills in branding, copywriting, packaging and wayfinding, as well as digital and web design and social media marketing. I am also part of Making-Space, a decentralised collective of designers focused on publication and exhibition design exploring the ethics of design practice within our current global political climate. Upon completing my studies at RMIT, I am hoping to gain experience within the formalwear and bridal industry and grow my skills in couture and costume garment design and development.

Since August 2018, I’ve been freelancing on a more full-time basis, and have worked for clients such as Cadbury, RMIT University, Melbourne Polytechnic, Zaiba Khan, Future Classic, and Plan International Australia.
