I love the possibilities offered by VFX, the fact that you can create entire worlds and make the viewers believe that they can escape reality and dive into a fantastic adventure and into a world that appears real but is in fact digital.For me, VFX is the perfect combination of creative and technical work. The effort you have to put into your work and into staying on top of the changes in hard- and software suit me perfectly because I love to challenge myself, am a fast learner and I enjoy learning new things.I specialize in FX, but I also have experience in other fields of VFX, like comp and cloth simulations. I love particles because they offer so many possibilities and can be the base for almost any type of FX. Using VEX or python to influence and shape these particles opens up even more potential. Which is why I’m determined to use and expand my knowledge in this area.Working at MPC gave me the opportunity to work in feature film and helped me gain experience in working with an extensive VFX pipeline. I’m learning more every day and I’m excited about every new skill I can acquire.In addition to the work experience, being part of several short film productions throughout my education taught me a lot about working on tight schedules, making difficult decisions and multitasking. Working both as an artist and in a supervising position on those projects, gave me a lot of perspective on how important organization and good teamwork are for a successful production.
