Here N Queer is a global nonprofit dedicated to LGBTQIA+ advocacy, providing vital support through a vast online database of 500+ mental health resources and distributing 100+ free care packages to LGBTQIA+ youth worldwide. We also traveled to Washington D.C. in June 2024 to lobby for H.R. 4340, which would place a national ban on conversion therapy. Our international reach has garnered recognition from organizations like Americorps, Invisalign, and Coca Cola, enhancing our impact and enabling us to create a more inclusive world for the LGBTQIA+ community.

I worked at a family-owned small business for crystals in minerals. I assited in product development/pricing, order fulfillment, business-style writing, customer service, and traveled annually to attend business conferences to arrange international trade deals. With my help, Exquisite Crystals became the first crystal business to be 1% For the Planet and B-Corporation certified.

Over a rigorous 6-month period, I conducted a comprehensive study on student perceptions related to equity and belonging within Vancouver Public Schools. I interviewed over 100 students, held focus groups, and collected hundreds of survey responses. In a capacity as special counsel to community leaders, I compiled a detailed 120-page report analyzing student experiences. This report not only presented qualitative and quantitative data but also offered well-informed suggestions to the school district, aiming to enhance the overall student experience and foster a more inclusive educational environment.

I created a student-advisory group to inform the policies in Vancouver Public Schools and to ensure student voices were heard and supported. Additionally, I actively contributed to the VPS Strategic Planning Committee, leading discussions among student representatives from various schools about respect and belonging.My impact extended to policy influence as I presented insightful reports at monthly school board meetings, shaping decisions that affected the entire district. I represented the interests of 22,000 students, working diligently to foster a more inclusive and respectful educational environment.
