After graduating from The Burnley School of Art in Seattle I created fine art for gallery sales and exhibits. I developed my own method of "paint-draw" using a combination of acrylics, soft pastels, and sometimes instant coffee, usually on heavy watercolor paper. I have shown in galleries throughout Washington, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. In recent years I have been focusing on commercial illustration and design, including; greeting cards, children's book art, and wine label and package illustration and design. In addition to art and family, I have been actively involved in environmental and social issues. My primary focus has been advocating the advancement of solutions to our growing climate crisis, as well as social inequities. While living in Colorado I volunteered with Environment Colorado as a team leader...helping to organize visibility events and meetings with legislators. While in Washington, I volunteered with various organizations in efforts to stop fossil fuel industries from advancing projects that would continue to contribute to global climate change, including proposed coal export terminals in Washington and Oregon. In Spring of 2012 I was asked to proxy as the State Committeewoman to the Democratic Platform for Whatcom County. While on the Environment/Energy/Agriculture Committee, I was instrumental in the passage of resolutions addressing the proposed coal export terminals in Washington State. I also authored Resolution #114, titled 'Resolution for Investment in Public Education through Energy Self Sufficiency. It was passed unanimously at the Washington State Democratic Convention in June of 2012. Originally from Seattle, I lived many years in New Mexico and Colorado before moving back to the Pacific NW. I now reside in Bozeman, Montana.Specialties: Graphic Design; Illustration: book, package design, wine labels, greeting cards, and more.Rookie film maker.
