As the founder of Silver Lining Care Solutions my mission is to help make aging at home for a safe, seamless and positive experience. While it “takes a village” to raise a child it most certainly “takes a community” to help seniors age at home. Throughout almost eight years of mentorship by two geriatric care managers the transition from media to the position of the Director of their a private-hire caregiver Registry was seamless. My skills in client relations, problem solving, crisis management, attentive listening and collaboration led me to a profession focused on helping people in times of crisis achieve their goals of aging safely in their home. This transition also provided the privilege of serving as a member of the NYC Aging Life Care Association’s Diversity Committee where I worked alongside, and learned from, veterans of the aging life care professions committed to diversity and excellence in the industry. Managing day-to-day client communications, crisis management, placing caregivers with seniors and caregiver recruitment are an essential part of my business. However, the ‘Solutions’ element of Silver Lining Care Solutions is also essential to support families and help seniors age-at-home safely. In addition to placing private-hire caregivers with seniors, Silver Lining Care Solutions offers family’s referrals to trusted aging life care professionals such as geriatric care managers, visiting doctors services, therapists, estate lawyers, certified daily money managers, professional home organizers, cleaning services and others.As the first Latina owned Registry in the NYC Tri-State area, I am proud to add to the diversity goals of the aging life care professions.
