I am passionate, driven, ambitious, and absolutely committed to changing my community and the world. I play a key role in uplifting the voices of young people across our great city. I have been a part of Youth Voice Project and many other youth organizations, as well as a student at Year Up Boston. I have not ever been shy to share my voice and beliefs, at work and in my community. I am known as someone who stands for what is right, and who is always assisting people with resources and connections I know about. I recently went to Washington, DC, and met President Obama through my role as a young leader in Boston for My Brother's Keeper. Growing up, I did not receive what other children did. My single mother struggled to provide for her children, but she taught me to be responsible, humble, and to appreciate what I have. I have never shied away from a task, presentation, meeting, or a chance to help someone in need. I would give the shirt off of my back to a young person who needs it.
