About Nora Knapp

I'm a barista living in Asheville, NC. I love working with coffee for a variety of reasons –– I love how social it is; I love getting into a flow state during a busy shift; I love gradually watching my latte art improve; I love getting to work in an environment where the goal is to make people feel happy and relaxed. My current goal is to get deeper into the coffee industry while continuing to improve my barista skills.In addition to barista experience, I also have experience working in restaurant kitchens and book stores. I have a 2022 degree in Culinary Arts and a certificate in Therapeutic Cuisine from Asheville-Buncombe Community Technical College. In 2019, I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor's in Linguistics and a minor in Music.I am also a singer, model, musician, and film-lover, with experience singing in several different choirs, modeling for photographers, playing clarinet with a community orchestra, writing and recording my own music, introducing films at film screenings, and facilitating discussions about film.
