Sr. Advisor For Women And Girls, Office Of The Coordinator For Afghan Relocation Efforts (Sca/Care)
CurrentAs a Senior Advisor and member of the leadership team of the Office of the Coordinator for Afghan Relocation Efforts (SCA/CARE), report directly to the Coordinator for Afghan Relocation Efforts. In this cross-cutting role, coordinate, develop, manage and implement a wide range of policies central to the work done by SCA/CARE, both in functional and regional arenas. Responsible for: • Ensuring CARE addresses the gender-specific barriers faced by Afghan women and girls in the Operation Enduring Welcome (OEW) pipeline. • Supporting Afghan women’s and girls’ safety on their immigration journey and helping them access opportunities to prepare for life in the U.S. • Coordinating with other parts of the State Department and the interagency to support Afghan women and girls in OEW. • Briefing members of Congress and civil society on CARE’s work related to Afghan women and girls. Represent the State Department with external stakeholders. • Oversee case management for special cases and groups. • Harness gender data for decision-making on priorities and operations.
