I mobilized a founding board to conceptualize the mission (community-controlled grantmaking, philanthropy promotion and advocacy to reform international aid) and tied it to the Palestinian national narrative as “self-determination in development.” As Director, I set in place all aspects of the organization, including legal framework, accountable governance, resourcing, management systems, and programming . As thought leader, I published research and engaged extensively in public speaking about innovations in community philanthropy all over the world.
