I strongly believe that it is never too early to start the career you always dreamt of. Therefore, I took the matter into my own hands. At the age of thirteen, I motivated myself to create, my very own channel and own website. I wanted to go far in life. Knowing that I am still young, I knew I could attract the eyes of the youth. I want my generation to realize that the future is in our hands, and we must be aware of the real-life issues that are happening. This is where my entrepreneurship Youth Media Channel came from. I would stay up all night teaching myself final cut pro through Youtube. I would go through social media and research any events that would be happening around New York and try to persuade my way to be able to cover those events on my channel. I have been able to cover important events such as the Symposium on Gender in Media, the Made with Code event, Change through Code in the White House, and other events regarding women empowerment, technology advancement, and more. I was more than honored to meet and interview successful leaders such as the actor and activist Geena Davis, vice president of Google's, Megan Smith, and Chelsea Clinton. I wanted my actions to speak just as loud as my words. At this very moment being 19 years old, I am working in a channel called QPTV. I am hosting two shows, one called Power Youth, which covers inspiring Youth in Queens. I am also hosting a show called First Generation, which focuses on first-generation Americans In Queens. I produced my own series, and edit my own episodes.Through all my years of determination of achieving my career at a young age, I have acknowledged the importance of technology and film and that's why I am studying Digital communications at Baruch College. I strongly believe that through passion and determination you can achieve way beyond what you can expect.
