About Norbert Becker

Norbert Becker has worked for Siemens for 36 years. A native of Germany, Becker received his degree in electrical engineering from the University of GH Paderborn in 1983. His interest and focus at the University was power electronics and large drives. In 1984, Becker joined Siemens AG in Germany, where he worked as a commissioning engineer on mining projects across the world. Eight years later Becker joined the Siemens training center for drives, where he focused on AC Drives. After two years Becker transitioned to the mining department, where he held various leadership roles. In 2016 Becker took over the Mobile Mining Business Sub-segment of Siemens in Nuremberg Germany. In early 2019 Norbert Becker was appointed Chief Executive Officer for the business unit Mobile Mining until an internal merger with the Bus and Truck business unit took place.His current position is Vice President in the new organization Commercial Vehicles.
