Sentinel Marine has its roots in a Company called Nomis Shipping, which was established in 1989. Based in Aberdeen, the early days of the Company were engaged in owning and managing a fleet of Emergency Response & Rescue Vessels (ERRV). The ERRVs were constant sentinels, watching over drilling rigs and production platforms operating in the North Sea. Over the years, the Company expanded to include an office in Singapore operating a fleet of mainly Anchor Handling Towing & Supply Vessels (AHTS). The Company’s operations and fleet management in Aberdeen and Singapore were subsequently sold in 2008.In June 2011, Rory Deans established Sentinel Marine in Singapore to trade, own and operate offshore support vessels in the oil and gas marine industry. Although a fairly young organisation, Sentinel Marine is helmed by people who have a track record of working well with oil and gas stake holders in the UK and the Asia Pacific. Nimble and flexible, that’s how we approach the volatility in the market. With offices in Singapore and Aberdeen, we are ideally situated to respond to the offshore oil and gas market, whether it be selling vessels to other owners who need them, or operating the vessels ourselves when the opportunity arises.
