Work directly with the Senior Design Engineers to evaluate new product designs currently in development. Actively engaged in specification review, design simulations, and design capture/entry as well as hands-on manufacturing, inspection, and test.

• Repaired, overhauled, rebuilt, modified, tested and troubleshot, electronic radar systems composed of a number of individual subsystems • Aligned, calibrated and integrated all operable radar subsystems (antenna, transmitter, receiver/exciter) into a functional system• Analyzed indications obtained during operation and related them to the technical data available to determine type and location of malfunction and perform the repairs • Troubleshot and repaired radar systems by observing and analyzing waveforms, voltage/current/power indications, computer registers or printouts, optical presentations, and instrument readings• Analyzed the malfunctions encountered, developed repair procedures and performed the repairs• Reviewed and analyzed data, determined if the criteria are sufficient to provide adequate test, troubleshooting, and repair procedures, and developed recommended tests, procedural changes, or data corrections• Worked as an engineering technician to evaluate technical data and equipment specifications to determine the impact that equipment modifications or substitutions will have upon the total system operation, various maintenance and alignment procedures

• Lead, trained, and supervised a section of fifteen soldiers in operation and maintenance of Firefinder Radar and associated equipment• Provided leadership and training for target acquisition operations, and instructed soldiers in radar operation, techniques, and procedures. • Supervised and managed continuous combat operations during deployment to Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF IV)• Troubleshot, adjusted, aligned and repaired using BIT routines and test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment. Replaced and/or forward unserviceable equipment to depot maintenance • Performed repairs, monitored the operation of the radar subsystems, analyzed operating trends, and proposed preventive maintenance down time, to assure continued operating capability, and recommended units for overhaul • Received the Army Achievement Medal for identifying and correcting problems with the AN/TPQ-36 Radar Set which was being used for acquisition of targets during a live fire exercise at Fort Pickett, Virginia
