The following provides a selection of experience, for the specific positions & roles please see the chronological profile section.▪New Markets: responsible for the build out of the broker/dealer infrastructure for new office openings in China, India, Brazil and Russia; creation of a bank branch in Korea for onshore FX and interest rate derivatives; establishment of third-party broker connectivity in Mexico, Chile and Columbia▪New Products: responsible for the the build out of an onshore commodities business in Japan, including physicals, OTC derivatives and TOCOM membership; launch of a warrants business in Hong Kong; USD 10bn multi-asset class proprietary trading desk move into an asset management structure▪Regulatory/Industry: delivered on number of initiatives including OCC Symbology, TRACE, Cost Basis, Recovery & Resolution Planning, derivatives clearing, and the formation of GS Bank USA; management of the inspection process and response to findings by the Japan FSA, Korea FSC, HKMA, RBI, and MAS▪Strategic Architecture: roll out of new custom-built global platforms for securities settlements, asset servicing, loans, listed derivatives, OTC derivatives, trading risk management, and trade & transaction reporting▪Technology Governance: responsible for the creation of a division-wide program to systematically identify the highest risk projects and evidence project management quality; responsible for the program to define a corporate governance process around SOX automated controls▪Operational Risk Management: established ad-hoc command centers for significant risk events, such as the rebooking of trades and management of day-end processes following Lehman bankruptcy, and the accidental inversion of foreign exchange rates in the firm’s pricing infrastructure
