I joined Fidelity Investments as a trainee programmer on their first graduate program in the UK, something I particularly loved and am still very proud of.I learned a number of different skills and programming languages including, but not limited to: C++; Sybase; CORBA; Visual Basic; Direct Talk; Nuance Speech Recognition 7.0.During my last three years here I designed and implemented IVR systems, commanded by touch tones and speech recognition (in English, German, Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese). These systems were a free service provided by Fidelity to its customers so they were able to get account balances, fund quotes, etc.
