Consult with the thematic focus on mobility and transport on participatory processes and public dialogues shaping a sustainable future of mobility.Main projects included the German National Cycling Plan (Nationaler Radverkehrsplan - NRVP) and the National Platform Future of Mobility (Nationale Plattform Zukunft Mobilität - NPM).My main responsibilities in the NRVP project were the expert interviews at the beginning of the participatory process as well as the coordination of the input and output papers for each session of the participatory process with experts "dialog forum (Dialogforum)". Furthermore I was deputy project manager.Within the NPM project I was project manager for the working group 4 "Securing Germany as a place for mobility, production, battery cell production, primary materials and recycling, training and qualification". This included all stakeholder management, coordination and documentation of meetings of the main working group and its subgroups as well as the coordination of the publications in close cooperation with the scientific partner.

Academic Staff in the project FL² at the Department of Design of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam.Supporting the implementation of undergraduate research, curriculum development, creating a better structure for international exchange possibilities for students of the Design department.My responsibilities included:- researching relevant departmental projects (research, cooperation, and teaching projects) across various databases;- developing a database structure in MySQL based upon this research;- facilitating the development of so-called study tracks by assessing-our foreign partner universities' design departments as well as other FHP departments' partner universities for their suitability for more intensive, topic-oriented cooperation;- subject-specific translation of academic texts from German to English in preparation of the Design department's research catalogue;- assisting the planning, facilitation, and assessment of central FL² events;- improving internal team communications and workflow processes with technical tools and collaborative digital processes;- implementing a teaching module in FL²s building blocks program on digital tools and workflows for academics; as well as- general employment duties both central and tangential to the Design department in the context of the FL² project.

The Stiftung Zukunft Berlin sees itself as an independent forum for citizen engagement and political participation. It organises political debates, conferences and other events to discuss topics regarding Berlin's future.During my internship I was mainly involved in the organisation of two conferences.My tasks included:- participants registration,- survey evaluation,- documentation and taking minutes,- photography,- proof reading (German and English),- media conversions,- content management for several of the organisations websites through Typo3,- consulting on the relaunch of a website for the subordinate initiative "A Soul For Europe".In this internship I learned a great deal about the behind-the-scenes structures of public policy making in Berlin.

Produforum Nyland was a network established as an EU funded project. It created a platform for the swedish-speaking independent cultural field in Finland. Produforum Nyland provided a shared working environment (Co-working space) as well as possibilities to network and exchange knowledge through various workshops and a strong cooperation with the Novia University of Applied Sciences.The internship at Produforum Nyland was part of the module Management of Art Projects which I took during my Erasmus exchange semester at the Novia University of Applied Sciences.During my work there I gained insights into EU project administration and grant applications, the swedish-speaking cultural field, and different artistic practices carried out by the diverse members of the network.I was able to contribute own knowledge and skills especially with regard to web development and general IT skills as well as knowledge about open source projects.

Arthur Engelbert, professor in media theory and media practice at the degree programme Cultural Work & Arts Management.My tasks included:- grant research and applications,- travel planning for a study trip to Jerusalem, Israel,- Website development and redesign of existing websites,- preparing course materials,- assisting with course evaluation,- general technical support.

The Landesvereinigung Kulturelle Jugendbildung Berlin e.V. (LKJ Berlin) organises the Voluntary Social Year in Culture (FSJ Kultur) in Berlin and Brandburg, providing cultural and social organisations with motivated volunteers as well as support and administration. LKJ Berlin also organises the workshops which volunteers attend to build skills and gain knowledge during the volunteering year.After having been a volunteer myself 2005-2006 I joined the team as an assistant for the following two years.My tasks included preparation of the seminars for groups of 60-70 volunteers, including coordination with workshop leaders as well as planning seminar structure and activities.During the seminars I hosted reflection groups, provided technical assistance, took care of the needs of both volunteers and workshop leaders and served as a connection between the full time staff and workshop locations.

During my Voluntary Social Year in Culture (FSJ Kultur) I was deeply involved in everyday business of running such a huge cultural centre which was at the same time undergoing a massive reconstruction leading to all kinds of special challenges.I was involved in running theatre programme targeted at primary schools which included technical assitance during the shows, setup of the stage, welcoming the artists and assisting them with their needs, booking groups, writing and layouting the programme flyers and distributing programme information to relevant channels.Furthermore I got to participate in local networking meetings as well as project funding through the Quartiersmanagement (a regional development agency) and learner a lot about communal improvement efforts and social development programmes within Berlin.I also conceptualised and managed my own project "reflect!", bringing together local youth and elderly people, featuring a photo workshop and two concerts at nearby youth centres engaging young musicians from the area to reflect on their everyday life by composing songs that were eventually also recorded on a sampler.For this project I raised funds of roughly 15.000€ and thus learned a lot about fundraising, project finance, and accounting in addition to organising concerts, producing a CD and facilitating meetings between youth and elderly people.I substituted my army duty with this voluntary social service.The Gemeinschaftshaus Gropiusstadt is the largest cultural centre in the south of Berlin-Neukölln. It offers a diverse cultural programme across music, theatre, dance etc. and provides spaces for local community activities such as intercultural gatherings, workshops for children and elderly and more.
