Develops and directs integrated communications focused on strategic objectives, change management and the overall image and reputation of Campbell County Health. Leads media relations, internal communications, executive communications, and events/sponsorship efforts, with the ability to drive multiple projects at once. Supports senior executives throughout the organization with communications to employees, partners, outside organizations, elected officials, and others. Oversees media training, issues management and crisis communication planning and response. Serves as spokesperson for CCH. Manages events and sponsorship budget to strategically foster goodwill, community relations, and brand recognition. Ensures the highest-quality internal and external communications vehicles including newsletters, emails, town halls, CCH intranet and other communications.

In six months secured over $1,000,000 in new grant funding for an organization with an annual budget of around $7,000,000. Directly managed 30+ funding sources including federal, state, local, and foundations. Ensured that grant goals were being met and that compliance was maintained throughout all programs. Prepared and submitted financial and progress reports. Identified new funding sources and prepared applications to compete for grants. Managed all aspects of the grants management cycle from solicitation to close-out and assisted with marketing/fundraising initiatives.

Taught undergraduate organic chemistry labs with about 32 students per semester. Maintained lab safety, ensured students understand the material, provided guidance, and mentoring. Held regular office hours, graded all laboratory assignments, graded lecture examinations, and oversaw all laboratory operations.

Worked in the lab of Dr. Michael Taylor to enable routes to the labelling/modification of biomolecules. Trained and supervised undergraduate research assistants. Developed a novel organometallic reaction. Responsible for daily reports to the PI and weekly reports to the broader research team on activities and literature findings. Published in peer-reviewed journal during first year. Trained in biochemistry techniques, organometallic techniques, NMR, LC/MS (LTQ), HPLC, MS (ESI and MALDI-TOF), UV-VIS and photochemistry techniques.
