My particular field of expertise is in M&A and transactions, corporate law and real estate, but I also have extensive experience with renewables, construction law, and litigation/dispute resolution. In addition to my legal education, I am a State-authorised translator, with a two-way certification for Norwegian to English and English to Norwegian. My specialty is legal documents, drawing on my experience in the sector. I have translated several acts of legislation at the request of the relevant government bodies. Currently I have the great pleasure of working as one of the co-editors of the World Law Dictionary's Norwegian content.In my years working with the law, I've found I particularly enjoy the interactive and communicative elements of the legal profession, and working with and towards clients, authorities and opposing parties. Both litigation and transactions offer opportunities to quickly gain core knowledge of new and interesting subjects that underlie and support the legal issues, and to work with and learn from experienced non-legal practitioners in many fields. The similarities between interpreting the law and contract wording when trying to resolve a dispute or draft deal documents, and interpreting language and structure when translating a text, is a source of endless fascination to me.My goal is to be a trusted advisor for my clients, with a deep understanding of their business, and I want my clients and customers to feel confident that when I speak my mind, it is based on experience and knowledge of the field.
