My fellowship will be implementing a biodigestion system with outputs of fertilizer. ​The goal is for reclaiming 40 tons a year of post consumer food waste​ turning that into fertilizer​.​ Another​ 100,000​ tons will be composted ​from animal waste. So a whooping 140,000 tons of recycled materials​ will be reclaimed​ a year in our community.

Provide certified organic wheat, rye, oats, barley, grains, rolled oats, mushrooms, and granola to markets. Provide great nutrition dense produce selected by flavor and specific traits for growing in the north. We check with the chefs first before planting or growing!

Serve as a trainer for Dept of Ag and University of Minnesota Extension for the Food Safety Modernization Act. Help with outreach and serve on the advisory board.

Created a native bee habitat, while providing an example of income incentives for farmers to implement a native bee habitat. The duties include serving on an advisory board for University of Minnesota Extension Service. Look at ways to deliver timely, productive programs for the University as well as 4H, and educators. Actively works as a liaison between citizens, statewide community, national businesses, research staff, and emerging global concerns.
