• Led a corporate benchmarking project for the largest-then ESG fund in Japan. Responsibilities included data analysis and report aggregation, publication of ESG issue reports, training fellow researchers, developing research methodology and databases, and client communication.• Research subjects included climate change, pollutant emission, water use, waste management, environmental health and safety, labor relations, indigenous rights, controversial business activities, corporate governance, supply chain management, and other industry-specific sustainability issues.• Research activities included corporate management interviews and surveys, meetings with industrial associations, and networking with environmental and social non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and regulatory agencies.
