Norkor Nortey (b. 1997) is a Ghanaian visual designer and documentary photographer curious about how African women navigate, take up space and thrive in today's world.Women are the protagonists in her creative practices, claiming their personal histories and visual culture.She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Design from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2019. She is a senior visual designer, building women-led brands at Monday Design.She graduated from the Dikan Center - Africa’s first and largest photography library - as a member of the inaugural cohort of the Photojournalism & Documentary Practice Program in 2023. She was the recipient of the Outstanding Student Award.She is a 2024 Women Photograph Mentee working on a documentary photography project exploring the relationship between women, food, and cultural preservation in Ghana.
